this is a fest dedicated to wayv's wong yukhei (lucas) and nct dream's huang renjun. the goal of this event is to expand the amount of fanmade content available for this ship!
what is a fic fest?
a fic fest is an organized effort towards creating a collection of written works centered around a specific theme or ship:
in this case, luren!
how does it work?
there will be a prompting period (in which the general fandom can submit concept ideas), a claiming period (in which writers will be able to sign up for certain prompts that they wish to author), and a writing period (in which, obviously, the writing will occur)! then, all of the works will be posted to a publically available collection on ao3.
how can i participate?
there are 4 different ways to participate:
prompting: when the time comes, you will be able to submit prompts for specific works that you wish to see written
writing: once prompting ends, you may claim those prompts that you wish to write
betaing: if you do not feel able to commit to being a writer, or if your strong suit lies more in editing, you can apply to be a beta! more info regarding betas for LRFF will be forthcoming
reading: it is extremely important to show support for the general writing community: fanfiction is art. it requires a whole lot of hard work to produce. without an audience, this hard work often feels in vain! your investment as a reader is just as valuable as any other role involved in the fest.
can i both prompt and claim?
you are totally allowed to both submit and claim prompts!
is self prompting allowed?
yes! there will be a self prompting section in the form that gets released at the start of the claiming period.
can artists participate?
we want this fest to generate as much luren content as it possibly can! this definitely includes art :D more details in this regard can be found in the info doc linked below.
